20 Litre Multi-Neck RB Flask Assembly on SS Stand

20L multi-neck RB flask on SS stand — CHEMveda, Hyderabad
⚠️The Problem

A pharma company in Hyderabad was handling 20-litre RB flasks manually — technicians had to physically lift and manoeuvre a heavy glass vessel during every operation. The flasks were stationary once set up, making process adjustments difficult and putting both the operator and the vessel at constant risk of a costly breakage.

🔬Our Solution

We designed and fabricated a 20L multi-neck RB flask mounted on a custom stainless steel stand. The stand eliminates all manual lifting — the flask is secure, repositionable, and at the right working height. The assembly also uses customised 2-inch RDA, condenser, and bend components. Critically, we converted the standard ground joints to flange joints throughout — ground joints are the primary source of leaks in long-running operations; flanges seal reliably and hold under sustained use.

What made it non-standard

  • Eliminates manual lifting — prevents operator fatigue and breakage
  • SS stand with adjustable height and secure flask seating
  • Custom 2-inch RDA, 2-inch condenser, 2-inch bend — non-catalogue sizes
  • Ground joints converted to flange joints — zero primary leaks
  • 4 units fabricated, ordered twice — validated in production use

Outcome

The customer reordered — twice. The stand-mounted assembly is now part of their standard process line. The flange joint conversion eliminated leak incidents at primary joints, which had been a recurring issue with the previous standard setup.

📝What we learned

After delivery, a site inspection revealed that the valves used were vulnerable in this process environment. We replaced them proactively — before the customer raised a complaint. That kind of post-delivery follow-through is built into how we work.

200 Litre Glass Reactor Addition Vessel on SS Frame

200L glass addition vessel on SS frame — Sugven Naturals, Ongole
200L reactor addition vessel closeup — Sugven Naturals, Ongole
⚠️The Problem

Sugven Naturals Pvt Ltd, Ongole — a natural extracts manufacturer — needed a large-scale glass addition vessel to feed reagents and solvents into their reactor system in a controlled, observable manner. At 200-litre capacity, standard catalogue vessels were not available. The customer also needed the vessel mounted on a structural SS frame that could integrate into their existing production floor layout, with proper bottom discharge control.

🔬Our Solution

We fabricated a 200-litre borosilicate glass addition vessel — two large oval-form glass vessels mounted in a custom multi-tier stainless steel tube frame. Each vessel is fitted with multi-neck top connections for inlet, sampling, and instrumentation access, and bottom outlet valves for controlled discharge into the reactor. All joints are flanged throughout to ensure leak-free operation under sustained use. The SS frame is designed to sit stably on the production floor, with the vessels at a height that allows gravity-assisted flow into the reactor below.

What made it non-standard

  • 200-litre capacity — non-catalogue, fully custom fabricated
  • Borosilicate glass for chemical compatibility and process visibility
  • Multi-neck top connections — inlet, sampling, instrumentation ports
  • Flanged joints throughout — no ground-joint leak risk
  • Custom SS tube frame — multi-tier, floor-standing, production-grade
  • Bottom outlet with control valve for regulated reactor dosing

Outcome

The addition vessel assembly was integrated into the customer's reactor line at their Ongole facility. The glass construction allows operators to visually monitor fill levels and liquid clarity during dosing — something an opaque vessel would not permit. The SS frame held true to the floor layout and the flanged connections have remained leak-free across production batches.

📝What we learned

At this scale, the frame design is as critical as the glass. Getting the vessel height right relative to the reactor inlet — so gravity-flow works without additional pumping — required understanding the customer's process layout before fabrication began. We take those dimensions seriously upfront.
